THIS IS HOW WE TAKE CARE OF YOUR PUPPY FROM DAY  1

Our main objective in breeding is to produce a shih tzu puupies with good health and perfect behaviour for you. That's why taking care of your puppy ad their mother is our top priority. Not all breeders can achieve this goal. once reason is because they are kennels and we are not and so the mother and shih tzu puppies (in kennels and puppy mills) are not getting the kind of love and attention they needed. Our bitches two weeks before and after whelping will have to go a rigorous nourishment procedure. This will help our bitches get back their health to where it was. It's also good for the puppy for the first two weeks. It ensures that they will get the best nourishment from the mother. As we have said before, we use money to love our shih tzus and not use them to love money.
As you can see, the female in labor shown in this photo is having BREECH DELIVERY. The feet of the puppy came first. Most of the time, with this kind of delivery, the head of the shih tzu puppy will get stuck inside. This is really dangerous specially if the membrane covering the pups was broken. The head can get stuck inside. If the breeder is not present during delivery, nobody will assist the female. This will cause the pup to get suffocated. Even if the puppy survives, his mental capacity will not be as good as the normal delivery because the shih tzu puppy's brain was denied of oxygen for too long.
There's a technique on how to do this. The breeder must be knowledgeable and prepared to get dirty.
Afer cutting the umbilical cord (again there's a correct way of doing it) we will apply an IODINE to prevent any infection. We will then cover it up with small bandages. This will ensure that the umbilical cord will not be pulled by the mother when she is cleaning them. If this is not taken care of, it can become an umbilical cord hernia.
In this phto, we are sucking out any remaining fluids in the puppies mouth and nostrils, plus we need to do physical examination to check the puppy for any signs of birth defects. Delaying the breathing will mean denying the puppy's brain for the necessary oxygen. We want to produce a puppy that is intelligent and easy to train. This procedure is VITAL to that mission.
